Tell us a bit about yourself : My name is Audrey and I am 36. I am French and I live in Paris, France. I initially studied foreign languages (English, Italian and German), economics and a bit of political sciences. During my studies I had the chance to study 6 months in Milan (Italy), and one year in Canada (Trent University + internship in Toronto in Ontario). I worked 7 years in HR before realizing I could not see myself in an office my whole life. I went back to school for one year to study floral design and botanics.
What do you do ?
Since 2018, I have been an independent florist and floral designer for events. I aim to make my clients’ big events (wedding, gala, ceremony,…) even more special with the help of nature’s most beautiful creations: flowers. I use flowers and foliages that I carefully curate in the flower market or Paris and sustainable design techniques.

What are your themes?
I love to work within a color palette that matches the season we are in. This way of working also makes it possible to have the best seasonal flowers. I also love to mix various textures and styles of flowers so each flower has a specific role to play in the bouquet.
What cause or charity do you support?
I am committed to work in a way that respects the environment, this is why I seek out the finest seasonal and local flowers, and use sustainable techniques in my design. I do not use floral foam and I sort all the waste that can be recycled or composted.

What are your influences?
I love English gardens and the aesthetics of the Victorian era. I like impressionist painters, particularly their use of colors, the various shades of one color and also how they match two colors togethers.
Your favorite quote?
“If you look the right way, you can see that the whole world is a garden.”
Frances Hodgson Burnett

This is one of my first bouquets and [I chose it because this — this is when ]is when I realized how colors and textures could really complement each other. There are only four varieties of flowers in this bouquet but each one has an important role to play. This is also when I realized which type of florist I wanted to be. Making a bouquet of red roses only is not where I have fun. I like to mix flowers and to challenge myself with a complex color palette while always playing with texture.
